Jun 26 - Jun 29    HopeDog Challenge is an exciting day of dog sport competition designed for kids and teens with autism. The games are fun! Kids learn how to play with highly-skilled sport dogs and develop important physical, social, and emotional skills. Kids and dogs join together on Training Days to learn a range of games using Frisbees, tunnels and jumps. They take these skills to Game Day, and win points for themselves and their team. Kids have fun, earn achievements, and grow in surprising, significant ways and dogs have a great time too!

Greg Doud IGP Seminar

Jul 19 - Jul 21

Greg's goal is to bring out the best in any dog he's working. Through his understanding of dogs and training, he is able to tailor the training program to a dog's individual needs. Teaching and Building Drive - through the use of motivators and markers. All three phases start with developing the "want to" using primary reinforcers. Continue to Build and Refine - what the dog has learned in stage one. Incrementally improving their concentration and demanding more accuracy through a step by step process of challenging and thoughtful stressors while demanding more precision/accuracy. Accountability Stage - establishing reliability through responsibility. Only when the dog 100% knows the exercises can we shift the responsibility on the dog and then teach the "have to"  (the other side of the coin).
